King Missouri, Middle-Level Principal of the Year. MoASSP will officially present the award during the 49th Annual MoASSP Spring Conference at Lodge of Four Seasons, Lake Ozark, MO., on Monday, March 28, 2022.

In her 13th year as principal at RJH, Dr. Fulton was awarded this recognition in part because of her leadership to add programming in engineering and computer programming, which serves as a gateway to higher-level coursework. During her tenure, a "Careers" class was started. Students better understand career options while also interacting with local and regional business leaders.

According to one of her teachers, "Dr. Fulton encourages all of us to be leaders. Her confidence in us alone empowers each to want to do more, be more and step up our game to be the best we can be."

Dr. Fulton has fostered innovation and creativity as part of the learning process at RJH. The development of the Operation Academic Recovery program reiterates to students that failure is not an option and holds them accountable for their learning.

Under Dr. Fulton's leadership, RJH students have the support to succeed academically. "RJH provides us with many opportunities to help us succeed," comments a student. "During COVID, RJH would always ensure we had the resources at home to do our work when under quarantine. Dr. Fulton is always trying to understand what the students are going through and make sure students know she is there for them when needed."

Dr. King was the third and the longest-serving Executive Director serving MoASSP for 16 years. MoASSP is proud to recognize administrators statewide for exceptional school leadership.
